About

Starting in 2003, Alia has been publishing the best imaginative fiction in Italy.
Printing Italian writers side by side with well-respected American, English and Japanese authors, what started out as a fan-produced effort turned into a strikingly original voice in the field of fiction.
Still proudly independent and managed as a non-profit project, Alia is now in its fifth year.

In 2009, the Alia crew will strike out in yet another direction – publishing a high-quality English-language anthology of Italian writers for the global market.
Fantasy, hard science fiction, horror and new weird, surrealism and satire.

Maintained by Davide Mana, main editotr and translator of this project, this page will chronicle the translation and production of the first international Alia outing.
It will host reflections, frustrated rants, critical considerations, plain nonsense.
